Punched for 6 hours by a heavy weight boxer!!

Decided last night to ride to the coast with Jonny! We left at 5:30am, got 35k down the old west coast road and poor old Jonny breaks a spoke (big bastard!) ............So keep going alone! What a crap ride I had! Decided to go to Arthurs Pass, thats a 155k ride. Man o man, got to the top of porters Pass riding about 5k an hour at top and I just never got "my legs"! It was just a 155k slog today. Got to Arthurs in just over 6 hours and Yvette collected me (trooper!) The only consolation was I saw Bob Scott riding the other way from the coast, stopped and chatted... at least I didnt ride 240k like him! Good on ya mate. Bit negative sorry... but man... feel like my legs were just punched for 6 hours by Mike Tyson! grrrrrr
